As we know, Cyprus has many links with Greece. These links include the fact that the majority of Cypriots are of Greek origin, share a common culture and religion with Greece, speak and speak the Greek language. Perhaps the most famous dish Halloumi is Cyprus, halloumi is a type of cheese with a texture similar to mozzarella, salty and often garnished with mint. Halloumi is very suitable for cooking, and can be grilled or fried. Traditionally, made of a mixture of milk from sheep and goats, but in recent years, more cow's milk is used also or instead, especially when the cheese is produced on an industrial scale.
Visitors to Cyprus are sure to find Halloumi probably the most popular dish known as "halloumi and lounza. This dish is simply a piece of meat, usually a piece smoked pork sausage or a piece of lamb grilled with a slice of halloumi.
